6v6 - Season 6 End - Playoffs Start

posted by b0nes @ 12:58 PM BST Season 6 has been a bit of a mixed bag of a league, some divs have been highly successful and competitive, others have been riddled with folds and problems. On the whole we think its been a decent well fought season and perhaps the thing we should learn from it is to not finish quite so far into the summer months.

Hats off to TLR for sticking it out and winning div 1, they will get a server coming their way very soon. Other divisional winners and runners up can also now see their achievements on their profile page, so very well done to all of you.

The part of the league we admin are very much looking forward to is just beginning, the inter div playoffs, to crown the overall div champ and to see who else will win the server prizes.

Im afraid in true wireplay style the sites not quite up to the task, but Ive cunningly used a ms excel template to knock up the playoff tree & format. We are hoping to promote a few games and show on stv, so its important when you have a date for a game set or indeed want to report the result, please contact me directly here, on #wptf2l or from the steam groups.

So once again many thanks to all clans for their continued support of our little league endeavour, we hope to see you all next time, and good luck to clans in the playoffs. Have a nice summer, the 6v6 will be back sometime in September.

7v7 - Fixtures up - we are go!

posted by b0nes @ 01:53 PM BST You can now see tables, fixtures and maps. Please start arranging your games as week 1 starts on Monday.

Please download the new wptf2l.cfg files and install on your server. There are different configs for different types of maps. You can find all rules & map formats on the rules page.

You can download the 3 ctf maps individually from the map page or download all of them here.

Please make an effort to learn maps prior to matches, it will help for a better game. If you want pcw's in the 7v7 format then please try asking in #wptf2l, clan leaders should idle there where possible.

7v7 - Season 7 Almost Ready

posted by b0nes @ 07:24 PM BST Take a look at the league placements here. We will run fixtures tommorow, if you are unhappy with your placement please see an admin asap.

If your clan applied to join but it is not in the tables then its because you have not reached the 7 players required to join the league. Those teams will be placed on a waiting list and will repalce any dropped clans shortly. If your clan wants to join the waiting list then contact an admin.
