6v6 - Final Week
posted by b0nes @ 10:52 PM UTC Unfortunately over the last week or 2 we have experienced a high amount of folds and drops from the league, there’s nothing we can do about it but say we are sorry, its one of those things. We just wish clans would be more assertive and see through what they start, as ultimately its their fellow clans that suffer. This is the final week, and some clans are doing really well playing on time, others are not. We try to be fairly open with our fixtures as we don’t want to be a league of defaults, but perhaps that’s something we will really need to look into changing. That said its not all bad, clans will have 2 weeks catch-up, but the sooner you can finish the better. Results will need to be in by Sunday 28th March.
We are already making plans for next season and have been working on making some things better for everyone, some changes to the website and some way towards a decent anti cheating system, more about that later. So please, stick with us, and finish your games!

cp_obscure
posted by b0nes @ 01:53 PM UTC cp_obscure_rc2 has been released and it has quite a few changes. With the league what we have decided that rc1 will be played for all week 3 games (a lot of which have already been played) and rc2 will be played in week 7 games. The only exception to this will be if you still have not played your week 3 game and both clans agree, then you can play rc2, but bear in mind there are several key changes. You can find out more about changes in rc2 in this forum post and download it here.

6v6 - Move up a gear in playing games
posted by b0nes @ 01:28 PM UTC We have replaced quite a few clans recently and some clans are falling behind on games. With other leagues about to start up its important wireplay clans do their best to stay on track. Steam Groups
posted by b0nes @ 11:14 AM UTC We have now invited clan leaders to their div steam groups, if a clan had more than 2 leaders listed then 2 have been added at random. If you should be in the group but have not had an invite please contact an admin. Also if you are added by mistake please remove yourself to avoid confusion. The groups are there to make contact between clans simplier.[ Comments (2) ]

6v6 - Fixtures Up - Arrange Games Now
posted by b0nes @ 02:30 PM UTC We have finalised tables and run fixtures. We are aware a few clans did ask for changes in their league div, this just wasn't possible any further, we are sorry but feel that the league positions are correct as best we can.Clans can now see their fixtures for the season. Games are set to weeks to play them in, please arrange a mutual time to play for both clans and then enter the date & time in to the schedule, this is something only clan leaders can do. The date represents the 1st day in the week.
Week 1 - 25/01/10 - cp_badlands & cp_fastlane
Week 2 - 01/02/10 - cp_gullywash & cp_freight
Week 3 - 08/02/10 - cp_granary & cp_obscure
Week 4 - 15/02/10 - cp_well & cp_fastlane
Week 5 - 22/02/10 - cp_gravelpit & cp_freight
Week 6 - 01/03/10 - cp_badlands & cp_gullywash
Week 7 - 08/03/10 - cp_granary & cp_obscure
Some rules of note:
• Winlimit has been removed so its just a deficit of 5 caps for all cp maps or the 30 min timelimit, whichever comes first
• Limit 1 on Force-A-Nature, Sandman, Direct Hit & Buff Banner. All other weapons have no limits.
There has been a number of changes to the site since last season and we will still be rolling out changes as we go on. Most notably now anyone can see a fixture arrangement log on the fixtures page, not just cl's. Soon we hope to have it so members can comment on fixtures in an easier fashion, but that isn't available yet.
Please download the latest wptf2l.cfg files (current v5) and install on any server you wish to use.
We will be inviting clan leaders to steam groups for your divisions, this will help us and you in contacting clans and admin.
In the early weeks we will be replacing folded or problem clans with clans on the waiting list, if your clan would like to be on this list please contact an admin on #wptf2l or message me directly here.

6v6 - Provisional League Tables Complete
posted by b0nes @ 01:38 PM UTC Please take a look at the league preview. We have done our best to place clans from their standings last season and their current skill levels. If you feel your clan needs moving up or down please contact an admin by Sunday night and make your case. Find us on #wptf2l or message me directly here. We will run the fixtures on Monday and start week 1 the following week. Rules regarding weapons will be announced this coming Monday. If your clan has missed out on the sign up period then please continue to register for the league as this will add you to waiting list and will pretty much guarantee you a spot when we replace folded/lazy clans in week 1.

6v6 - Signups Close Sunday 10pm
posted by b0nes @ 07:21 PM UTC At time of writing clans have a little more than a day to register for league. Please remember you need to have 6 members in the clan to be added to league, there are some clans who have not yet got 6 members and are therefore not assured a spot. You can see approved clans here. From that link you will notice we have started to place clans, if clans have not previously played in wireplay then our task of placing you correctly can be very hard. Please contact me in #wptf2l or here with relevant info for placing your clan. Clans who are impossible to contact and we find no decent info on will be removed.

Season 5 Weapon Poll
posted by Bury @ 09:26 PM UTC Hi,A lot has changed to TF2 in the past few months, and with forthcoming seasons; we must establish a conclusion on how to play the game to an enjoyable competitive level.
Please head to the Poll. There's been some discussion about allowing 2 demomen now that alternative weapons are available. The limit was in place in the first place because 2 demomen causes severe spam, now consider an alternative play style.
The FaN's been a place for hot debate in various places, well now you can show your feelings with another poll and comment where appropriate.
The Direct Hit could be seen in the same category as the FaN for arguments sake.
And the Buff Banner that grants mini crits for a certain amount of time, in replacement for the soldier's shotgun slot.
Enjoy voting, and please post your comments where appropriate. This Poll will not determine the final outcome, it is simply a good visual representation on what the participants in this league want.
