6v6 - Season 10 Finished

posted by b0nes @ 06:52 PM BST Well done to all teams that stuck the course and saw out another decent wireplay season. As always slightly marred by folds and drops but that cant be helped. I hope you all had some decent games and will join a future wireplay season.

Congratulations to all divisional winners. The playoffs where also finalised and those winners along with other div winners have all been alocated their servers.

For now we are going to take a small break from running a 6v6 league. However stay tuned for news on upcoming 9v9.

Thanks to all involved.

"slightly marred by folds and drops". Slightly? My team won the div5 group with 7 default wins in a total of 7 games... I hope you can come up with something that will bring more teams to the competition, because this was really poor. Div5 had ETF2l div6 and div5 teams mixed up in the same groups. There were already very few teams signing up and then a lot of drops and folds. That isnt slightly. Like I said, I hope you can come up with something to revive wireplay

i dont think thats all that fair to blame us for how many teams fold, it happens in all league regardless of our best efforts. If you feel hard done by rather than unlucky then im sorry.

It can't be helped. Nowadays people don't play as a team, they play for a team. Since that doesn't seem to hold very long 1/3 of the teams drop. It's the community, not the league.
Another point: Why do both the etf2l and the wireplay put their seasons into the same werks? Planning for two leagues at the same time is a pain!

Yes yes yes, teams fold, blablabla. Are you really going to ignore that in a group of 8 teams (with different skill levels) my team won all the 7 matches by default win? Last season wireplay wasnt very strong. This season it was even worse: less teams signed up and there was a massive number of folds, much more than you would expect. Dont you feel that maybe you have to do something so Wireplay starts growing and not deteriorating? Sorry for simply telling the thruth, but I would like wireplay to grow and that wont happen if people just ignore what is happening and say "oh yeah, some teams folded, that's just how it goes". Reality is that if you go on saying that in a group of 8 teams, 7 teams folding "can't be helped", then there is no reason why teams should come to wireplay instead of just staying in etf2l. Again, I dont say all of this just because I want to trash wireplay and the admins, I would just like to see it grow (that is why I participated in it in the first place)
